Summer Colors, 2011

It's here y'all.  The end of Summer 2011.  I guess not officially the end, but with school starting tomorrow, life as some of us know it is about to change.  I've put together a few pictures of our Summer(and it has been a busy one).  I hope you all have had a great Summer as well and wish everyone a fun and colorful (can't forget cooler) Fall.

I've Been Chimed

I've never really been one for chimes.  I've always felt like they put off too much sound. (Call me weird but...) I'm more of the
quite, relaxing, soft music kind of person once I'm home.   I have a very small chime that I do like and the sound it makes gives a relaxing feeling.  It caught my attention as the afternoon storm started approaching and I took a closer look and remembered why I liked it.  First the words are beautiful and the details in the butterfly gives it a bit of bling.(this is the first 2 photos you see)  I found a couple others that I thought were pretty and look like they would make pretty sounds.
Hope your evening is a bit relaxing.

Love the colors on this one.  Great for Fall. (thegreenhead.com)

This has a bit of a modern edge that I like.

Country Road Wanders

The thought of Fall being right around the corner inspires me to keep pushing on through this sweltering heat in Florida.
I can't wait for this season to arrive.  Those living in the areas where the leaves actually start turning in October or maybe even in September  means cooler weather for ya'll, let's just say, I'm just a little jealous.
So, as I was going through some of my pictures I ran across a couple that I wanted to share.  The first one, we were traveling through North Carolina on a back road and stumbled upon this beautiful bridge.
The road was small and it happened so quickly we couldn't stop so I grabbed my camera and clicked as we were driving. (Sorry for the bit of a blur in the picture) I wish we could have stopped for better pictures and really taken in this beautiful view of what one would see in a magazine.

When Fall arrives at these places, oh the beauty!

Amazing Sunsets

This past weekend we finally took our trip to Key West.  We actually started planning this trip back in May with a group of people but one thing led to another and before you knew it no one could agree on a date so we took off and went by ourselves and had a great time.  Of course the sunsets there are the icing on the cake and I brought a couple back for you to see.

Take My Breath Away

It's been such a long time since I've written any thing on my blog, and I've lost track of my days. Several days ago my husband and I took a road trip to North Carolina.  Need I say more (for those of you who have had the chance to visit there).  Seriously, the minute we drove over the line of North Carolina my breath was taken away over and over.  Such a beautiful country.  Rolling mountains, not hills, mountains as far as your eye could see.  This was my first visit there and most certainly will not be my last.  I'm in love.  And the weather..... ahhhh no humidity and in the 80's. The locals tell us to head back up in October to see the fall leaves.  Hopefully we will be able to do just that.  Most of the photos were taken through the car window driving down the road so I appologize for bad pictures.  I wish the pictures did this awesom countryside justice but at least you'll get the idea.
