It's a Pajama Kind of Day

Some days ya just don't feel like gettin dressed.  This was one of them..rainey and dreary.  However, my neighbor and I decided to go shopping,  completely unaware of a tropical storm in our area...Ms. Debby!
(I don't turn on the tv very often so I really was unaware of a major storm approaching us.) Maybe I should start watching a little bit of news.
.
All was well at our place but very close by a couple of tornados touched down and caused severe damage.
As the night approached my phone rang.  Ahh, my neighbor...but asking the question, have you watched the news tonight?  Of course my answer was no, why?  Her answer.... well there's a toanado in the area that will be here in 12 min.   My response...I'll be right over with my little dog...Laci.
Lot's of power outages but everything turned out fine in our neighborhood and I went home a little while later.
The most that I can say happened to us was a  huge puddle formed at the end of our driveway.

It was just wet and gloomy all day long.  Infact I think it rained for about seven days straight.
But at the end of the day I'm thankful for the rain that keeps Florida green and we were all happy that the lights came back on, no damage was done in our whole neighborhood and everyone was safe.

  2. I have heard about Debby some days ago.... "She" damaged some beaches on the westcoast of FL. Nice to hear that you're ok and safe! Take care and have a sunny weekend!

  3. Glad to hear you were safe! We've had a few storms here the past few days. The week started out around 100 degrees and ended up being about 68 degrees yesterday! Strange! Hope you have a nice weekend!
