Feeling a Little Pinkish Today

Pink has a way of making something feel pretty.  It may scream femininity but whispers I'm soft.

I've started a little project that I can only show you bits and pieces because I'm no where near done. 

This is a small project.

A little bit shabby and tattered.

Alot cute and pretty.

Somewhat textured and rustic.

Definitely girly.

With just a touch of glamour.

All wrapped up into one little project.

Soft and Simple

 I have fallen in love with soft pastels. Quite the opposite of where I've been in my past. 

It all started a while back when I changed the look of my blog to lighter colors.  Everything I looked at and loved was soft colors and simple decor. 

One day I found these books and saved them until I knew what I wanted to do with them.  I'm still trying to figure that part out but I do know that I want to use them.

 I've also been putting my creative side to the test and this frame was my Guinea pig.  

The color turned out perfect and goes well with the books. 

As far as a name for this kind of decor... I could go for the cottage, shabby or romantic look with these colors. All of which I love.   I'll have to see where all this takes me.

Now I'm looking forward to finding other things to add for my new soft and simple look.
