Through the Grapevine

A while back when I was visiting my Mom in Colorado, we stopped by a few thrift stores to see what treasures we might find.
I had to be careful what I bought, of course, because I did have to take it back on the plane with me.
My very first find was a pretty little wine and cheese platter and I do adore entertaining pieces.
I  loved it so much I decided that I had to take the risk that it may get broken on the way home.  Thank goodness it did not.
I wish I would have taken a photo of it all by itself because it is pretty all on it's own.

The silver grapevine details caught my eye...
on the middle stem ...
as well as the cute little grape cluster feet...
and the knife that came with it.
The size of the platter is just the perfect size for entertaining for two, or using it at a party for a crowd.

So guess what's for dinner tonight?  I do love this cheese.  I just discovered it.  It's called boursin, garlic & fine herbs gournay cheese and the drink will be the sparkling raspberry limade you see in the wine glass.  (I don't have any wine here at the house that I enjoy so this will do just fine. )
Hope you all have a good day and weekend.

  1. Beautiful! I don't think I've seen such an impressive platter before. This cheese sounds delicious and along with the wine it makes the perfect dinner.
    Great post!

  2. Oh, I love this. The detail on here is so pretty. I have something very similar - a candy dish that a dear friend once gave me. Jess would love this, as cheese and crackers is a favorite food of hers.
