Everythings Bigger in Texas

(statesymbolsusa.org)

They say every thing's bigger in Texas.  Well I can definitely vouch for the temperature there... 109 degrees!  Whew!  It felt like a hair dryer blowing in your face when you were outside.  I will say that it actually was not too bad because it wasn't humid while we were there. Anyway, just being with my daughter along with my sister and her family made it all worth it.

While we were there we helped my daughter with some decorations for her apartment, which was a ton of fun and... she got a new puppy. They call him a chi poo, I think. A mix of a chiwawa and poodle. (I'm sure the spelling is wrong but I think you understand.)

Here's  a couple of pictures of her newly decorated apartment  (and new puppy, Boo).  I wish we could have kept going but a little decor is better than none and she can keep adding to it to get a finished look.  Ikea was the main attraction for this living area. They're cheap and so much fun, ya just gotta love em!

Meet Boo

There's nothing like a sleeping baby. (even if it is a dog)

So back to Florida (where humidity lives)  the reality of life sets in.  Work, paying bills,  checking emails and the list goes on.
I've got one more hurdle to get through to finish out this summer and hopefully I'll be able to get refocused on my blog. (I've missed writing and reading what everyone else is saying).  So until then I hope you all have a great evening and weekend.

  2. Your daughters apartment is coming along very nicely. I love the sayings on the wall. Where did she get those? Nel likes to shop at Ikea. They always have what she is looking for. Those purple flowers are beautiful!! It's hot here too in Southern Cal. Can't wait for the Fall breezes.
