Let's see, I have officially began...
gearing up for Fall.
I said I wasn't going to do it until the last day of Summer which is somewhere around September 21st. I think, but...
the darn Fall bug got a hold of me.
Don't you love things you can use all or most of the year long? I think this table setting could be used for Summer or Fall. The red flower plate and bowl could be used right in the heat of Summer for a sandwich and salad.
But today it's set up for soup and salad and pulling out the orangy colors for a touch of Fall. (spell checks telling me orangy isn't a word, but that's ok, it is to me)
I have to brag on my Mom because she made these place mats and gave them to me along with the dishes for a gift. I think she did an amazing job and really showed off the details of the fabric by making them round. Then setting a ruffled plate and bowl with it was perfect.
This silverware holder is attached to the place mat and holds the stripped napkins in place. What a cute idea don't ya think? Just look at that stitching...scalloped! (bragging again) I'm always amazed by what people can do with a machine. As for me, working on a sewing machine is like going to the dentist.
Oh, I wish I could sew, but seriously, I'll leave it to the people who know what their doing.
Lately I have had a thing for salt and pepper shakers...cute ones and these vintage shakers definitely fit in that category for me. (I love these little things)
Last but not least is this bottle with the so, so cute top. (another gift from my Mom) I can definitely say that I want more bottles with cute tops. Love this thing too.
So this begins Fall's entrance for me and I'm looking forward to what Fall has to offer this year.
Have a great week everyone!
